Scarlet Waxcap hygrocybe coccinea

Scarlet waxcap are small bright red, wet look toadstools. They grow in clumps in cropped grass, lawns and woodland clearings from late summer to early winter.

Conservation status

Although not common scarlet waxcaps are the most often seen of the waxcaps.
