Pledge a gift in your Will to Norfolk Wildlife Trust

If you have kindly remembered Norfolk Wildlife Trust in your Will or intend to do so, thank you so much.

Throughout the year, we run a number of supporter events to express our gratitude for supporting us in this way.

There is no obligation to attend these events, or to tell us if you have left or are intending to leave a gift, this is entirely voluntary.

If you choose let us know about your intention to leave a legacy, you can do so by calling 01603 625540 or by emailing [email protected] and you’ll be given the chance to opt in or out of receiving these event invitations.

Anyone who cares about wildlife has a marvellous opportunity to do something quite unique, by remembering their Norfolk Wildlife Trust in their Will. This generous act is one of the most important things you can do to make sure the species and habitats we love will be there for future generations to enjoy.

- Sir David Attenborough, President of The Wildlife Trusts

What information would I need to include in my Will?

When making or updating your Will your solicitor or Will writer will need to know the following information:

Registered name: Norfolk Wildlife Trust
Registered Office: Bewick House, 22 Thorpe Road, Norwich, NR1 1RY
Registered Charity Number: 208734

There are two different types of gifts that you can make in your Will – either a pecuniary gift (a fixed amount) or a residuary gift (a share of your estate.) It is important that you ensure that your loved ones are taken care of and any gift to Norfolk Wildlife Trust, no matter how big or small is greatly appreciated and will be put to good use.

Tax benefits to leaving a gift in your Will to Norfolk Wildlife Trust

As well as helping protect Norfolk’s wildlife for future generations a gift in your Will to charity is also inheritance tax exempt. If your estate is taxable for inheritance tax, leaving 10% or more of your estate to charity can reduce the taxable rate from 40% to 36% - your solicitor or Will writer will be able to advise you further on this.
