We can make your donation go further by 25%

Gift Aid is a government scheme which benefits registered charities like Norfolk Wildlife Trust and increases the value of your donation at no extra cost to you.

If you are a UK taxpayer, adding Gift Aid, whenever you make a charity donation allows us to reclaim the basic rate of tax on your gift – that’s an extra 25p on every £1 you donate.

If you fill out a Gift Aid Declaration form we can claim back tax from the government of 25%. This extra amount that we claim back from tax on membership subscriptions and donations represents significant extra funding. It enables us to do much much more for Norfolk’s wildlife through our core work of conservation, restoration and education.

If every one of our UK tax paying members signed up for Gift Aid, NWT would be able to claim back tax of over £200,000 per year!

Signing up for Gift Aid means that you are making the following declaration:

“I want to Gift Aid my membership payments and/or any donations to Norfolk Wildlife Trust which I make in the future and which I have made in the last 4 years (if applicable).

I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my contributions to charity in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference”

Higher rate tax payers can claim additional tax benefits for donations they make to charity, which you can keep or pass on to any charitable organisation. Simply indicate how much you have donated when completing your tax self-assessment form.
