Get to grips with the diverse group of plants known as the grasses with expert botanist, Chris Roberts. This introductory course is ideal for beginners, who wish to be able to identify grasses to species level with a view to managing grasslands for wildlife.

A chance to visit the fantastic meadows created and managed by Ed Cross at Abbey Farm.  We will look at grassland creation, different mowing and grazing regimes and discuss seed collection. Local author and naturalist David North will lead you on a circular walk to discover coastal wildlife whilst discussing the impact the periodic storm surges and flooding events have on the wildlife and landscape of Cley (walk length approximately 4 miles with 1.5 miles of walking on shingle).

A guided walk around the reserve exploring its wildlife and habitats. Subjects will vary depending on weather and season but may include; butterflies and moths, flora, bird-watching, general wildlife and reserve management/history. Binoculars and sturdy footwear recommended.

A unique opportunity to attend a night walk on a North Norfolk Heath. Meet at NWT Cley Reserve main car park and follow ornithologist and tour guide Carl Chapman in your own vehicle to seek out the wildlife to be found on the Heaths nearby. Nightjar, hobby and woodcock are all possible.
