Entries for our 2026 nature photography competition will open on Monday 1 June!
We want to see your best images of Norfolk’s birds, mammals, marine life, bugs, plants, fungi and landscapes – taken anywhere from one of NWT’s reserves to your own garden within the past year. It's your chance to feature in our 2027 calendar, as well as exhibitions around the county.
Photographers of all experiences are encouraged to share their vision of Norfolk’s amazing nature, with images taken with professional cameras or mobile phones welcome! The competition, running from 1 June – 21 July, is free to enter and open to all ages.
Judges will select a favourite photograph for each month of the year to be printed in Norfolk Wildlife Trust’s 2027 calendar, with a selection of the best photos also being shown in exhibitions at NWT Cley Marshes and around the county.
An Overall winner, Young Person winner and Mobile Phone Photography winner will also receive prizes from Zeiss and John Lewis.

Nature photography competition 2025
Our 2025 competition saw over 1,100 photos showcasing Norfolk’s landscapes, wildlife and plants submitted. Thank you to everyone who entered - the winners for 2025 have been announced here.
2025's Overall Winner, Alan Dixon’s fox cubs, perfectly captured the characters of the cubs playing on a warm spring evening. The judges saw many impressive images by young photographers, with their favourite, 22-year-old Nathan Allen’s fox, winning them over with its skilful capturing of the fox’s inquisitiveness. Mobile Phone Photography winner Lori Coral captivated the judges with her photo of startled pigeons taking flight above Norwich Market.
With thanks to world-leading optics manufacturer ZEISS for their sponsorship of our competition, along with brilliant local companies Lisa Angel, SOP, and WILD Sounds & Books.
