Wilder Communities - An introduction to wildlife recording
Event details
About the event
Join us for a hands-on introduction to wildlife recording and discover how to start building a picture of the animals and plants living locally to you — whether that’s in your nearby park or a community space you help care for.
During this friendly and practical workshop, we’ll explore:
• Simple ways to spot and identify wildlife
• Useful tools and resources, from field guides to easy-to-use apps
• Where to send your sightings so they contribute to local and national conservation efforts
Alongside an indoor session, we’ll head outdoors into the beautiful surroundings of Catton Park for a relaxed, guided walk where you can try your hand at bird, wildflower and butterfly recording.

This workshop is part of a programme specially designed to support individuals, communities and groups acting for nature in their local area.
