Hickling Swallowtail Wildlife Safari

Friday 10 June, 2022
An exclusive and intimate exploration of Hickling Broad reserve in the company of John Blackburn, Hickling Warden for over 18 years. Hear about the history of Hickling reserve and how it has changed over time and what life is like as a warden in this unique and beautiful landscape. The day will focus on one of Norfolk’s rarest and most iconic species, the Swallowtail butterfly, only found in the Broads, with the chance hopefully to see these beautiful butterflies in their natural habitat. Time will be spent walking the reserve, journeying on Little Tern our vintage reed lighter boat and visiting the historic Stubb Mill. A Norfolk lunch hamper will be included in the price.
