Saffron Summerfield

When Birds Sing

Thursday 23 January, 2020
Musician and Sound Artist, Saffron Summerfield presents a digitally illustrated talk with recordings of bird songs and calls, sonograms (a picture of sound) and music. In her talk, Saffron will be exploring a multitude of compelling questions –how does a bird sing? What is happening inside a bird’s brain when it sings? Why does the Dawn Chorus have such an emotional and calming effect on some Humans and why did Mozart keep a pet Starling?

In light of the Government’s measures to stop the spread of the virus, we have cancelled all events until 31 July 2020 and will be contacting those who have pre-booked to offer a refund. We will continue to review the situation over the coming weeks.
