Musician and Sound Artist, Saffron Summerfield presents a digitally illustrated talk with recordings of bird songs and calls,sonograms (a picture of sound) and music. In her talk, Saffron will be exploring a multitude of compelling questions –how does a bird sing? What is happening inside a bird’s brain when it sings? Why does the Dawn Chorus have such an emotional and calming effect on some Humans and why did Mozart keep a pet Starling?
