Lady's bedstraw at Cley

Beautiful burial grounds

Thursday 19 April, 2018
Churchyards are a fantastic place for wildlife. The often undisturbed grassland is great for wildflowers, the veteran trees for bats and birds and the stonework for rare plants and lichens. Find out more about the importance of these special places for wildlife and about the new Caring for God’s Acre Beautiful Burial Ground project, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. This will see Norfolk Wildlife Trust volunteers survey churchyards, as well as engaging school children.

In light of the Government’s measures to stop the spread of the virus, we have cancelled all events until 31 July 2020 and will be contacting those who have pre-booked to offer a refund. We will continue to review the situation over the coming weeks. For more information about our situation during the epidemic: More information
