About the event
Microplastics are fast becoming a high-profile pollutant within coastal ecosystems, however their distribution and impacts on saltmarshes remain unknown. In this talk Ben Grover will present the research of his PhD, studying the distribution of microplastics across the saltmarshes of Blakeney. Ben will show the current scientific methods used in microplastic analysis, share the results of his research, and discuss the impact of microplastics on saltmarshes. Some of his surveying was carried out with the support of NWT.
