About the event
Discover the magic of image transfer in this creative gel printing workshop inspired by Cley Marshes and nature. Learn how to combine laser-copied photographs and text to create a collage - then transfer your design to the plate and bring it to life by reverse painting colourful backgrounds.
In this workshop, you will create a collage plate using images and text inspired by the Cley Marshes and environment. Learn how to transfer photocopied and printed images onto a gel plate, explore composition and storytelling using nature-inspired imagery, paint backgrounds directly onto the gel plate to enhance and personalise your final print, create a finished, one-of-a-kind artwork to take home, perfect for all skill levels — whether you’re new to gel printing or looking to explore new techniques, this workshop offers a playful, hands-on way to combine photography, text, and painting into your own expressive artwork.
All materials provided. Please wear old clothes or bring an apron.
