100 oaks for 100 years
As we mark our centenary year, the future of Norfolk’s nature is at a tipping point.
Our wildlife is under more pressure than ever before and, without our protection, the future of the places and species we have all worked so hard to care for over the last century is in jeopardy.
We need your help to raise £100,000 to help secure the future for wildlife in Norfolk. Your donation could help us to continue to create a connected tapestry of habitats across the county, giving wildlife the space it needs to thrive. It could help us work with communities and landowners to create more places for wildlife and further connect people with nature.
Become part of the story of Norfolk's nature forever
As a special 'thank you' for this year only, supporters donating £500 or more will be invited to leave a lasting legacy at Norfolk’s largest ancient woodland by planting one of only 100 special centenary oaks.

These centenary oaks have been grown from acorns harvested at NWT Foxley Wood and raised with great care by our President, Patrick Barkham. The saplings will be planted in our recently acquired arable land to the north of Foxley’s existing woodland, helping to create vital new habitat.
If you donate £500 or more, we would like to offer you:
- An invitation to join us for a special event and plant one of the 100 centenary oaks in dedicated groves on our new land at Foxley Wood.
- Acknowledgement of your support on a plaque that will be placed beside the groves on a new ‘centenary path’. You will be able to visit in future years to see the groves grow and become part of this nature reserve.
- An exclusive limited-edition (1 of 100) map of the newly expanded Foxley Wood and its wildlife, illustrated by Norfolk designer Beverley Gene Coraldean.
Donate £500 or more
If you are one of the first 100 people to donate £500 or more to our Centenary Appeal (thank you!) then we will get in touch to invite you to plant a centenary oak. This is completely optional, and you are welcome to donate without attending the planting event or having your donation acknowledged on a plaque.
There are just 100 oaks and limited-edition prints, so if you'd like to be part of the future of Norfolk's nature and contribute to creating new habitat at Foxley Wood, make sure you don't miss out by donating today.
Pledge to fundraise £500 or more
We would also like to invite individuals and groups to pledge to raise £500 or more. Those doing so will be invited to join us at the celebration event and be acknowledged on a plaque. All pledges must be raised and paid in full by Monday 6 July 2026.
Please get in touch if you would like to pledge to fundraise £500 or more, or if you have any questions, by calling 01603 598351 or emailing fundraising@norfolkwildlifetrust.org.uk.
Our wildlife has never needed us more; any amount you are able to donate is a vital contribution to securing the future of Norfolk’s nature.
Thank you so much for your generous support in our centenary year.
