About the event

Join us for the showing of North Sea - Nature Untamed. Through the lens of Peter van Rodijnen, this film reveals the hidden natural wonders of the North Sea. This busy European maritime area, crucial for fishing and the energy transition, is also a vast and vibrant marine ecosystem. Largely unexplored - until now! North Sea - Nature Untamed showcases this fascinating under- water world, bringing to light the beauty and biodiversity of this unique habitat. A silent call to action, encouraging us to love and protect our oceans for a better, sustainable future through captivating visuals that will inspire all to appreciate and value the incredible underwater nature differently than before.“The Sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.”- Jacques-Yves Cousteau

Our showing will start with an introduction from Green Film Festival Director, Dr. Karina Aveyard. Karina is an Associate Professor at the University of East Anglia in Film and Media. The Green Film Festival @UEA is an annual showcase of environmental films from around the world. Their events celebrate and support the efforts of filmmakers, communities, activists and allies working towards the shared goals of global sustainability. This event is brought to you in collaboration with Reel Connections who use film, music and the creative arts to connect people and communities across Norfolk, and is supported by Creative Arts East.
