Peat, peewits and putty chalk: Restoring High Fen
Event details
About the event
This talk from Nattergal, a nature restoration company, will follow the restoration of High Fen Wildland, a degraded peatland site in the Norfolk fens. Nattergal are looking to restore the hydrological and ecological processes that used to govern life in the fens, with the hope that species such as lapwing will once again breed at the site. The peatland restoration project has now rewet ~110ha of the site, from fen to farm and back again.
Lunch is included in the ticket price.
