About the event
Join Norfolk Wildlife Trust for Wild by Design, a free drop-in celebration of nature, creativity and big ideas as part of our centenary year.
Bringing together artists, designers, conservationists and young nature leaders, this lively event explores how curiosity and creativity can shape a wilder future.
Drop in at any time during the day and explore a vibrant programme of interactive stalls, creative activities and exhibitions for all ages.
Across the event you’ll be able to:
- Try computer games designed by students, inspired by wildlife and conservation
- Explore an art display curated by Norwich University of the Arts (NUA)
- Discover pond life through pond dipping and microscopes
- Design your own wildlife-friendly garden and learn simple ways to help nature at home
- Make a bug from natural materials in hands-on craft workshops
- Create your own nature zines and wildlife-inspired prints
- Take part in a live collaborative artwork created throughout the day
- Meet artists, makers and conservationists exploring how design and creativity connect with nature
Alongside the drop-in activities there will also be a programme of guided walks and short talks exploring wildlife, creativity and conservation.
These walks and talks are ticketed events and must be booked in advance - watch this space for details later in the year!
Expect a relaxed, festival-style atmosphere filled with curiosity, conversation and creativity — a chance to explore the connections between art, design and the natural world.
Wild by Design asks a simple question: what might the next 100 years of nature in Norfolk look like?
This event forms part of Norfolk Wildlife Trust’s centenary celebrations, looking back at a century of conservation while imagining the wild future ahead.
