About the event

Join author of The Freshwater Fishes of Britain and The Field Guide to Pond and River Wildlife of Britain and Europe, Jack Perks, fondly nicknamed 'The Fish Twitcher' for this underwater photography workshop. Pick up wildlife ID skills and delve into the ponds and dykes of Cley with underwater cameras to see what’s lurking in there and photograph some of the species in a photo aquarium, using pole cameras. Bring own cameras – some go pros will be provided.

No dogs permitted on the reserve. Visitors with dogs can walk Beach Road, along the shingle bank (northern reserve boundary) and East bank.

Bring own cameras if you have them. Please note that you will be going out onto the reserve, so please bring appropriate footwear and clothing for the weather conditions of the day.

Events will take place in all weather conditions unless deemed unsafe. Please ensure that you dress appropriately for the weather with suitable footwear. Please be advised to take caution when walking on a site with open water and ensure that you always remain on the designated paths. Biting insects can be present at certain times of the year and you may choose to apply insect repellent as a precaution. In warmer weather, you may wish to bring a hat, sun cream and water.

Tickets are non-refundable unless the event or activity is cancelled by Norfolk Wildlife Trust. In the event that Norfolk Wildlife Trust has to cancel an event or activity due to low numbers, extreme weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control, we will inform you at the earliest opportunity and will offer a full refund.
