About the event

Join us for a captivating guided walk where you’ll uncover fascinating facts about the elusive bittern - a master of camouflage and one of the wetlands’ most iconic birds. As we approach Bittern Hide, keep your ears tuned for the unforgettable booming call of the male bittern, echoing across the reeds as he attempts to attract a mate.

With patience, you may be rewarded with a rare glimpse of this pale, buff-brown heron emerging from the reeds  - a truly special wildlife moment.

Perfect for nature lovers, birdwatchers, and anyone keen to experience the magic of the marshes.

Please note a reserve entry fee applies for non NWT members, £5.50 gift aid/£5 standard entry.
