About the event

Join Norfolk Wildlife Trust and the British Trust for Ornithology for a talk by James Parry, co-author with Jeremy Greenwood of the book Emma Turner - A life looking at birds. Turner captured remarkable images of Norfolk’s rare birds and was famous in the ornithological circles of her day for her outstanding photographs and impressive fieldcraft. In his talk, James will highlight the life and achievements of this remarkable pioneer, including her joint discovery in 1911 that bitterns were once again breeding in Britain and her time protecting nesting shorebirds on Scolt Head.
