Do 1 thing for wildlife
100 years of Trust
We’ve achieved some amazing wins for wildlife during the last century, and we’re only just getting started!
As we reach our 100th birthday, we know that wildlife faces new challenges – but we also know how to create a brighter future for Norfolk’s plants, animals, wild places and people. And that’s where you come in!
100 years of Hope
We’re looking towards the future with hope because from small acorns, mighty oaks grow. If we all do a little something to nurture our nature, together we can help create a wilder Norfolk for everyone.
Celebrate our 100th birthday with us by pledging to do one thing for wildlife.
As well as making nature’s future a little bit brighter, you’ll also make your world a little bit wilder!
One good deed deserves another
For every pledge you make, we’ll plant one square metre of wildflower meadow on an NWT nature reserve in 2026 – so wildlife benefits twice!
Pledges
Provide water for wildlife
From creating or restoring a pond, to putting a dish of water out for the animals near you, just about any source of water, small or large, will help wildlife thrive.
Plant for pollinators
Planting for pollinators gives bees, butterflies, and birds the food they need to survive and thrive. It also helps plants reproduce, boosting biodiversity and keeping ecosystems healthy and resilient.
Nurture a native tree
From gardens to farms, trees provide vital food and shelter for our wildlife – and native trees support far more insects and birds than non-native trees, helping nature thrive the way it’s meant to.
Help a hedgehog
Hedgehog populations have declined dramatically in recent decades, making it vital that we give our spiny friends some support. From building a hoggy home to helping them move freely through our neighbourhoods, there’s something we can all do.
Volunteer
Learn conservation skills, share your passion for nature, meet new people, immerse yourself in local wild spaces – and help protect Norfolk’s wildlife for the future.
Give nature a voice
From writing to your MP or councillors to ask that they make decisions with nature in mind, to taking part in a petition or responding to a planning application that threatens your local wildlife, there are lots of ways to campaign for nature.
Become a member
As a member of NWT, your support enables us to protect the future of wildlife in Norfolk and inspire more people to help nature. There are plenty of benefits for you too - from experiencing the great outdoors at our nature reserves to attending uniquely wild events.

Put wildlife on the map
Sharing information about the wildlife you see and hear can help us understand how plants and animals are really doing - and where they might need our help. This means that, with your help, we can help protect nature in the right ways, in the right places.
Take a look to see just how many people are giving wildlife a gift in our birthday year as we build a strong community helping nature in Norfolk and beyond.
