Nature in Norwich

Help us create a wilder Norwich

Norwich is already ahead of the game when it comes to nature. The only city in England set in a national park, it is home to many beautiful, tranquil and varied green and blue spaces from parks and nature reserves to lakes and rivers. Yet, we know if we pull together, we can create an even wilder city.

Thanks to generous funding from the National Lottery, we’re working with communities and partners across Norwich to create a truly wild city for nature and people. But to make it happen, we need your help.

Our vision is that everyone in Norwich can see, hear and feel an abundance of nature everyday where they live, work, play or go to school.

Species focus

Swifts

Each year, as part of our Wilder Norwich project, we will spotlight a city‑wide focus species to build understanding and inspire local action.

This year, we're partnering with the Norwich Swift Network to shine a light on the swifts in Norwich – and we would love you to get involved!
