Discovering and supporting Norfolk’s marine wildlife

We have incredible marine habitats and species off Norfolk’s coast – from saltmarshes and internationally important chalk reefs, to mud which is not only a habitat but significantly contributes to carbon sequestration.

There is a whole underwater world to discover!

Each year, The Wildlife Trusts celebrate our marine wildlife during National Marine Week. This year, it's from 25 July to 9 August 2026 and we're focusing on 'Incredible Journeys' inspired by our wonderful whales, soaring seabirds and other marine wildlife which embark on journeys.

Find out more about Norfolk’s marine habitats and the species which live in, on and around our sea at one of our marine events.
