A wilder Norfolk for all.
We're working to protect Norfolk's wildlife and the wild places they call home.
Norfolk Wildlife Trust has been protecting and restoring Norfolk's nature since 1926. Today, we manage over 60 nature reserves and other key sites for nature across the county. With the help of our supporters, we create, maintain, and protect habitats which nurture a thriving variety of wildlife, including some of Norfolk's rarest species. We are dedicated to inspiring more people to connect with and take action for nature; through visiting our nature reserves, volunteering, or joining us as a member.
In 2026, we mark 100 years of supporting Norfolk's nature. We hope you'll join us to celebrate this memorable year!

Ospreys return to Ranworth!
Exciting news - a pair of osprey have returned to Ranworth Broad and Marshes for their fourth consecutive year at the reserve. In 2025, they successfully fledged two chicks, making it the first known site in the region to host breeding osprey in 250 years.
We’re thrilled to see them back and hope they raise another family this season. For the first time, a camera has been installed on the nest to follow their progress. The pair are already settling in, feathering their nest, hunting for fish, and showing early breeding behaviour.

Ranworth reopens for spring
Our unique floating visitor centre at NWT Ranworth Broad and Marshes nature reserve reopens for the season from Wednesday 1 April. Nestled in the heart of the reserve, the visitor centre offers stunning views across the Broad alongside nature activities for children, and is the ideal place to pause for a hot drink (or ice cream!)
Daily guided wildlife boat trips also start from both NWT Ranworth Broad and NWT Hickling Broad on 1 April - the perfect way to spot our amazing Broadland wildlife from the water!
