Lesser Celandine Ranunculus ficaria

Lesser Celandine is a low-growing plant with dark green, shiny, heart-shaped leaves and bright yellow flowers about 3cm across that open in the sunlight.

Found throughout the country.

Between March and May

The Wildlife Trusts manage many woodland nature reserves sympathetically for a range of spring flowers, from golden Lesser Celandine to fragrant Ramsons, showy Bluebells to delicate Wood Anemones.
