The Norfolk Plover - Chris Knights in conversation with Nick Acheson

Saturday 08 June, 2024
Chris Knights is a much-loved farmer, naturalist, photographer and broadcaster who has lived in the same Breckland village for more than 80 years. One of the Cley East Bank disciples of the great Richard Richardson, and a long-term film-maker for Survival Anglia, Chris has watched and cared for Norfolk's wildlife his entire life. In autumn 2023 he published his latest book The Norfolk Plover on the life of the iconic stone curlew. Richly illustrated with stunning images from Chris's decades spent watching stone curlews, it gives a remarkable insight into these extraordinary birds. Chris will speak to us about his book, about stone curlews, and about 80 years of protecting Norfolk's wildlife.
