About the event

To celebrate marine week, take a closer look at the ocean with us, this session will involve creating your own plankton net, sea dipping with us and looking at the incredible microscopic wildlife with our guest plankton expert Elizabeth under a microscope.

This session is for older children 7yrs and over.

Please note parents will need to be able drive/cycle to and from the beach for this session and will accompany the children throughout.

Each family group must have at least one adult attending. One accompanying adult per paying child is free of charge and does not need to buy an event ticket.

No dogs permitted on the reserve. Visitors with dogs can walk Beach Road, along the shingle bank (northern reserve boundary) and East bank.

Important Health and Safety Information

Events will take place in all weather conditions unless deemed unsafe. Please ensure that you dress appropriately for the weather with suitable footwear. Please be advised to take caution when walking on a site with open water and ensure that you always remain on the designated paths. Biting insects can be present at certain times of the year and you may choose to apply insect repellent as a precaution. In warmer weather, you may wish to bring a hat, sun cream and water.

Tickets are non-refundable unless the event or activity is cancelled by Norfolk Wildlife Trust. In the event that Norfolk Wildlife Trust has to cancel an event or activity due to low numbers, extreme weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control, we will inform you at the earliest opportunity and will offer a full refund.
