About the event

Molly Wallis is a painter and printmaker living in Suffolk, with a First Class BA Hons degree in painting. She has always been absorbed by nature, landscape and memories. Her works intensely examines the minute details of natural forms using expressive and experimental processes to narrate the beauty and vulnerability of our eco systems. Her printmaking is largely centred on documenting the entire UK red list of birds in mezzotint. It takes many, many hours to create these copper plates and then the printing itself is also extremely intensive. Small, precious editions are printed to reflect the dwindling populations.
