Enchanter's Nightshade circaea lutetiana

When the fruits form they stay on the plant and have white, hooked bristles to hook onto passing animals and birds to spread the seeds.

Conservation status

Although enchanter’s nightshade is widespread in Norfolk and most areas of ancient woodland are protected, the hedge banks that are important to protecting this plant are vulnerable as they have no protection.
