From The Chair
As Chair, I would like to welcome everyone to our local group. You do not need to be an expert on wildlife, just come and enjoy it. We hold nine illustrated talks a year on subjects covering all aspects of wildlife and wild places. The talks are held in Wymondham at 7.30pm on the second Thursday of the month (except during June, July and August). There is a friendly committee which you might like to be part of or you could join one of our conservation teams. We are also involved in informing and educating the public about wildlife conservation and biodiversity and engaging with the local planning system.

We were delighted to accept the permanent loan of a laptop computer and a projector. This has been supplied and paid for by Jon Carpenter, the Managing Director of Morgan-Price International Healthcare. He runs a business in Wymondham employing several local people.
The picture shows our chairperson, Dr Anne Edwards receiving the items from Mrs Ann Carpenter the mother of Jon, who was unable to attend due to pressure of work, also in the picture is Mrs Ann Roberts a trustee of NWT.
We use a projector and a laptop at most of our meetings. Some speakers have their own equipment but many don’t. Also we have problems with some incompatibility with equipment brought to meetings. It is very pleasant to have our own equipment ready to use.
