The Nuclear Regulatory Review: don’t turn nature crisis into catastrophe

UK Government have announced their next steps on the Review

On 13th March UK Government published its response to the Nuclear Regulatory Review 2025

After thousands of you emailed Ed Miliband with your concerns, the most environmentally damaging proposals have been watered down. Together, we have seen off the threat of a new Planning Bill to remove key nature protections. Thank you.

However, it's not all good news. The Government has committed to new guidance about how to apply nature rules. This tinkering with protections could still lead to damage to nature-rich spaces.

Resistance to this dismissive approach to nature is growing and we'll keep sticking up for nature. We're so grateful to have you standing with us.
