Pledge a gift in your Will to Norfolk Wildlife Trust

If you have kindly remembered Norfolk Wildlife Trust in your Will or intend to do so we would like to invite you to our supporter events. If you do wish to inform us please do let our Legacy Officer, Gemma Creasey know (01603 625540 [email protected]) and she will ensure to let you know of our upcoming events. There is no obligation to attend these events or to tell us if you have left or are intending to leave a gift, this is entirely voluntary.

What information would I need to include in my Will?

When making or updating your Will your solicitor or Will writer will need to know the following information:

Registered name: Norfolk Wildlife Trust
Registered Office: Bewick House, 22 Thorpe Road, Norwich, NR1 1RY
Registered Charity Number: 208734

There are two different types of gifts that you can make in your Will – either a pecuniary gift (a fixed amount) or a residuary gift (a share of your estate.) It is important that you ensure that your loved ones are taken care of and any gift to Norfolk Wildlife Trust, no matter how big or small is greatly appreciated and will be put to good use.

Tax benefits to leaving a gift in your Will to Norfolk Wildlife Trust

As well as helping protect Norfolk’s wildlife for future generations a gift in your Will to charity is also inheritance tax exempt. If your estate is taxable for inheritance tax, leaving 10% or more of your estate to charity can reduce the taxable rate from 40% to 36% - your solicitor or Will writer will be able to advise you further on this.
