Bird Photographer of The Year - A chance to see all of the winning images
From Monday 15th May Norfolk Wildlife Trust (NWT) will be holding the BPOTY exhibition, hot on the heels of its London exhibition at Kew Gardens. The exhibition will be showing at their Cley Marshes Nature Reserve.
Forty-five stunning bird photographs will be on display from thirty-one different photographers that will include the overall winning photograph, the category winners and those short-listed, along with many of the photographs that were specially commended.
The judges, which include Wildlife Presenter Chris Packham, pored over 6,000 photographs to eventually decide on the overall winner, Mute Swan by Andy Parkinson.
The competition is a partnership between Bird Photographer of The Year and the British Trust for Ornithology, with all profits from the entrant’s fees going to help support the work of the Trust.
Rob Read, Director of BPOTY, said “It is fantastic to be working with the NWT at Cley, and to provide this unique opportunity to see the exhibition outside of London. The photographs are too beautiful to keep under wraps and I hope that they will hope to inspire the next generation of bird photographers.”
The exhibition will be held in the Simon Aspinal Education Centre at Cley Marshes and will run from Monday 15 May
