Step Outside! Wildlife Resource
A comprehensive A4 ring binder resource for use with foundation stage, key stage 1 and key stage 2, prepared for use in Norfolk schools. Step Outside! offers teachers numerous creative ideas for utilising their outdoor space for cross-curricular learning.
The main aims of this resource are:

• to support schools in enhancing the biodiversity of their school grounds

• Animals; including inserts such as information on minibeasts, sparrows, observation sheet, evidence sheet and exhibit form.
• Habitats; including information on habitats such as fairy and elf islands, special places, rock story, literacy links, food chain games.
• People and Nature; including wild sounds, action plan, footprint on earth, activity sheets, eco-footprinting score sheet, broads during Victorian times.
• Your School Grounds; including projects, pond creation and maintenance, feeding and nesting boxes, various garden habitat boxes, wildflower meadows, natural pest control, compositing, wormery, sensory garden and creativity.
This resource can help to make the most of the school grounds, and offer stimulating and exciting activities that can link to a range of subject areas, from numeracy to literacy and from art to history.
