Projects

Much of our nature conservation work is increasingly undertaken through the creation and management of projects which focus on individual habitats or species, or address particular issues. Projects enable us to work proactively and fulfil strategic objectives within the Trust, while also playing an important role in meeting county biodiversity action plan targets.

Focussing on key issues, habitats and species in this way enables us to:

  • link together related areas of work and initiatives, including those underway in partner organisations
  • initiate and coordinate action in a strategic way
  • pull together and establish new county datasets
  • identify opportunities for further work
  • raise the public profile of key areas of work
