Norfolk Wildlife Trust today launches a photo competition to celebrate its
90th anniversary year with the theme the Year of Norfolk’s Nature.
We are looking for images of Norfolk species and landscape that best encapsulate nature throughout 2016 in the county. You might chose to represent carpets of bluebells at NWT Foxley Wood in the spring; striking swallowtail butterflies at Broadland nature reserves in summer; autumn migration; or stunning shot of wildlife in the snow.
Your photographs must be taken within Norfolk, but not necessarily on an NWT nature reserve. We are keen to celebrate wildlife across Norfolk’s Living Landscapes. And the photograph must have been taken this year: Norfolk Wildlife Trust’s anniversary year. All entries must be received by 31 December 2016.
Chief Executive of Norfolk Wildlife Trust, Brendan Joyce said: “It’s been a fantastic year for Norfolk’s wildlife. We know many people will have enjoyed taking photographs this spring and summer, and will be inspired to venture out with their cameras in autumn and winter. In celebration of NWT’s 90th anniversary year, we hope to create a beautiful exhibition of the year’s nature, and why after 90 years we are still committed to protecting it.”
The competition is in partnership with new
Investors in Wildlife, Jessops, who will be providing a £500 Jessops Norwich Voucher as the first prize and a runner up prize, chosen from the Jessop Academy Wildlife experiences to the value of £125.
The winning images will chosen by a panel of judges including photographic artist Richard Osbourne, and Nigel Pickover, Editor in Chief of the Eastern Daily Press.
