Recent donation continues loyal support of wildlife work

Norfolk’s wildlife is set to benefit as White Stuff Norwich donates another £900 to Norfolk Wildlife Trust. In the last year alone, the local clothes shop has donated more than £2,500 this year to help conservation work in our county.

As part of the White Stuff Foundation, the Norwich branch of the clothes shop White Stuff has handed over a cheque for £912.09 to Norfolk Wildlife Trust. The company, who pledges to give away at least 1% of its annual profits to charity, has raised this handsome sum through their Christmas product, Slipper Socks, as well as funds from their spring campaign, Are You Thready.

NWT is the local shop’s chosen charity, having cemented a lasting friendship through previous innovative fund-raising events. This has included events such as garden gnome auctions, pet accessory sales, national ‘wear a tea cosy on your head’ day sponsorship, and in-store crazy golf and cake competitions. The company has raised more than £16,000 in donations for NWT to date.

“We are very happy to continue to support Norfolk Wildlife Trust and were thrilled to be involved with the recent Wild in the City window trail,” said Chris Dunn manager of the Norwich branch. “We’d like to thank all our lovely customers who are so willing to give to charity, and have fun while doing so.”

Chief Executive of Norfolk Wildlife Trust Brendan Joyce said: “This gratefully received donation will fund the education work of the Trust; encouraging children and adults to connect with the natural world and get involved in wildlife conservation.”
