Access for All at NWT Nature Reserves

We welcome and make special provision for wheelchair users at six of our nature reserves. Below are details of the facilities available at some of our reserves. More information can be found in our Nature Reserves Handbook. To order a copy from our online shop click here.

We are in the process of producing large print 'Access for All' leaflets for our reserves. The first three are now available - for NWT Barton Broad, NWT Hickling Broad and NWT Ranworth Broad. The rest will follow later in the year. You can download a PDF of the available leaflets for free or contact us on 01603 625540 to receive one through the post for free.

 

NWT Barton Broad

There is parking available for those with disabilities at Heron's Carr, and the boardwalk is accessible for wheelchair users.

NWT Cley Marshes

The boardwalk and hides and all easy to negotiate in a wheelchair. The toilets in the visitor centre are suitable for those in wheelchairs.

 

NWT Hickling Broad

The visitor centre, toilets, boardwalks and one hide are all fully wheelchair accessible, and there are wheelchairs available for loan.

NWT Holme Dunes

One of our three hides is fully wheelchair accessible.

 

NWT Ranworth Broad

We offer parking facilties for disabled visitors next door to the village hall, and the boardwalk and floating visitor centre is easily negotiable for those in wheelchairs.

Please note - there is no toilet, disabled or otherwise, at the visitor centre.

NWT Weeting Heath

The visitor centre, toilets and hides are all fully wheelchair accessible.
