Amazing Wildlife Facts:

  • To produce a pound of honey bees must visit two million flowers
  • Honey bee wings flap 11,400 times a second and they can fly at up to 15 miles an hour
  • Worker honey bees, the girls, live 6 – 8 weeks and do all the work
  • Drone bees, the boys, have no stings, and do no work, only mating!
  • There are about 600,000 to 800,000 brown hares in Britain.
