Norfolk Wildlife Services Staff
The work at Norfolk Wildlife Services is carried out by a small team of dedicated and experienced consultants. When required by a contract they can call on an extensive local network of specialists and the expertise of other staff from Norfolk Wildlife Trust.
Chris Smith - Consultancy Manager
Chris has a BSc in Ecology from the UEA and has worked for the consultancy for 16 years and has over 20 years experience in nature conservation. Specialist skills include botanical survey, management planning and GIS. He holds a bat and great crested newt licence.
Sue Traer - Ecological Consultant
Sue has an Open University Degree, and a post-graduate Advanced Diploma in Conservation Management at Otley College and has worked with the consultancy for 8 years. Specialist skills include habitat surveys, water vole and other protected species surveys. She holds a white-clawed crayfish licence.
Toby Cheadle - Conservation Management Consultant
Toby has a BA in History from the University of Kent and a Post Graduate Diploma in Conservation Management from Otley College, has 10 years experience as a land management adviser and 16 years in conservation management. Specialist skills include farmland & woodland habitat management, and grant aid for projects from agri-environment grant schemes.
Abi Hemmant - Assistant Ecologist
Abi has a BSc in Geography with Earth Science and a MSc in Ecology and the Environment from Lancaster University. Specialist skills include protected species surveys.
Colin Ford - Finance Manager
Colin is a fully qualified chartered accountant and has a Degree in Environmental Sciences. He manages finance and contracts for the company.
Brendan Joyce - Norfolk Wildlife Services Director
As well as being Director of NWS, Brendan has also been the Chief Executive of Norfolk Wildlife Trust for over 15 years.
