Directions and Transport
Sparham Pools is approximately 21km north west of Norwich. Leave Norwich on the A1067 Fakenham Road, take the left turn towards the village of Lyng. Sparham Pools car park is located approximately one mile on the left-hand side of the road before the bridge.

Did you know?
Common terns have bred on an island at Sparham Pools for many years. After spending the summer in Norfolk they migrate south to over winter in Africa.

What to look for:
Yellow flag iris, common, southern and migrant hawker dragonflies, red-eyed damselflies, purple hairstreak butterflies, green hairstreak butterflies, kingfisher, common terns, little ringed plovers.
Pochard, shoveler, tufted duck, goldeneye, gadwall, gooseander and little grebe.
