A popular destination for both families and naturalists. Interpreted boardwalks explore its ecology, and the floating visitor centre has hands-on learning activities.
Watch the antics of the wildfowl on the water or spot the sunken wherries around the Broad’s edge.
Located in the village of Ranworth, four miles east of Wroxham. NWT car park is signposted from the village. Buses stop a short walk away.
Water Trail - boat trips
Ranworth Broad is closed to public boat traffic and offers a magical wildlife experience, with the chance of seeing marsh harriers, common terns and great crested grebes, or even catching a glimpse of otter or the flash of blue as a kingfisher darts past. You will also find out about the fascinating history of the Broad, including the part it played in foiling German invasion plans in the Second World War! Pre-booking is always recommended as these trips are very popular, especially during school holidays.
