Nature Reserves
Norfolk Wildlife Trust manages around 4,300 hectares for wildlife across the county. For information about our main nature reserves click on the map pins - please note this requires users to install Microsoft Silverlight. Alternatively click on the relevant nature reserve name in the list beneath the map.
Five NWT reserves have visitor centres (Cley, Hickling, Holme, Ranworth & Weeting) providing a selection of refreshments, books, gifts and information about local habitats and wildlife. All of these sites have wheelchair access to some hides via boardwalks or solid paths, and the boardwalk at Barton Broad is also accessible to wheelchairs. However, due to the nature of some habitats and adverse weather conditions, wheelchair access is not possible across all areas of our reserves. To clarify access issues at specific reserves please call our office on 01603 625540.
Many of our reserves are also accessible via public transport. However, due to the changeable nature of transport services it's not always easy for us to include the most up-to-date details of how to do this. Please visit the Traveline East Anglia website or call them on 0871 200 2233 for the latest public transport information and advice.
