Norfolk Wildlife Trust’s Wildlife Watch club is excited to host Winter Waterfowl Discovery, a very special chance to explore Pensthorpe and meet birds both wild and tame. Come along on Sunday 5 February, from 10am-12pm, and enjoy a world of ducks, geese and swans.
We will see ducks in their best plumage of the year and even though it is winter there may be lots of exciting calls and displays to look out for as birds carry out their courtship. Just because its winter doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty of wildlife to see! For Pensthorpe, Valentine’s Day comes a little early. It is the perfect place to see romance budding between different kinds of waterfowl.
NWT’s Education Manager David North said, “There are quacks, whistles and grunts galore during these colourful courtships. This is a wonderful chance to explore and enjoy the world of waterfowl.”
Meet in the entrance courtyard at Pensthorpe, Fakenham, NR21 0LN. The cost for members is £4, non members £6, and one accompanying adult is free, additional adults will be charged. Booking for the event is essential, call us on 01603 625540.
Wildlife Watch hosts an exciting event every month. Find out about our other events and join us for more family fun.
