Norfolk Wildlife Trust’s Wildlife Watch club is excited to host Winter Waterfowl Discovery, a very special chance to explore Pensthorpe and meet birds both wild and tame. Come along on Sunday 5 February, from 10am-12pm, and enjoy a world of ducks, geese and swans.

An exceedingly rare bird has been identified at Norfolk Wildlife Trust’s nature reserve at Cley Marshes, attracting hundreds of excited visitors and birdwatchers. The western sandpiper (Calidris mauri) is a first for Norfolk, and one of extremely few to ever be seen in the UK.

Eight Dartmoor ponies have arrived on Holt Lowes in North Norfolk, an internationally important area of heathland, bog and woodland that will benefit from the ponies’ conservation grazing. They increase Norfolk Wildlife Trust’s Dartmoor pony herd to 84 and represent its commitment to supporting this endangered breed.
